Hide Your Email Address From Facebook Applications

At Facebook, many of the applications requests for permission to extract your personal information from your Facebook account including your personal email. For example if you want to play any game it requests to access your personal information including your email address. You can see the example in the screenshot below.

We all know that giving personal email address on internet means bombardment of spam emails to your email inbox . So is there any way to hide and protect your personal email from Facebook applications at the same time join the application?
The answer is yes! You can hide your email address whenever a Facebook application request for permission.
Facebook allows its users to change there personal email address to anonymous email address by simply clicking on change link given in the request for permission dialog box. When you click on change link, link turns into a drop down menu, simply select an anonymous email address (xxxxx.proxymail.facebook.com) from the drop down menu and click allow. Now you will join the application but without given your actual email address to the developer.
Remember you still receive emails from developer or any other contact sent to your new proxy email address into your actual email inbox. But the benefit is this that when you decide to remove the application, Facebook will also remove the proxy email so that you never receive emails from them again.
So whenever you wish to hide your personal information always click change email link when ever an Facebook application request for permission.
